Let’s talk about Claire Redfield everyone.

So, Revelations 2 coming out. It was a great day knowing Claire was coming back, but it turned out, Alyson Court wouldn’t be accompanying her. (At least that’s what we assume at this point)

Okay so, look…telling fans of Claire to suck it up that Alyson may or may not be voicing Claire in the official release…? I don’t see a need for that. Blogs dedicated to Claire are heartbroken that Alyson wasn’t contacted. She didn’t just turn down the offer, she was never given it, and I agree in finding that, well, not a wise choice. It would be different if Alyson Court DIDN’T voice Claire since 1998, but she did. Alyson has made her who she is, without her voice, it isn’t Claire Redfield believe it or not. It isn’t just her they’ve done this to however, once we think Capcom has decided on an official voice actor, they change it suddenly. It warps the characters personality since every voice actor is different, and would play the part differently. There are personality tweaks in each game, but without the original voice to compensate that change, it feels fake, like it isn’t the character you grew to love.

The game could look like the best god damn thing in the world, Darkside Chronicles made Claire absolutely stunning. But without Claire’s motherly, courageous and inspiring attitude that Alyson Court gave, I couldn’t give a damn.
